Week 5 – Planning & Searching – Life Mapping Weekly Chit Chat

In Week 5 of 2014, I’ve started planning my Feb ~

Here is the pre-planed Feb Monthly Calendar~

You may noticed that I was no longer using MarkIt Dots but draw Squares to mark my events. This is because,

1. Draw squares are more easier and time saving than locate the MarkIt Dots with the color I want, peel it off and stick it on my calendar;
2. I worried that the MarkIt dots will drop after years. Who knows.

Another thing I would like to feature in this week’s Chit Chat is how I make my records searchable. I did quite a lot of testings and found that the method below suits me quite well,

1. Side Index bar with Index Page marker — used for everything that I like to highlight and search for
2. Contents page — for my Book & Movie (TV shows) Reviews that I wrote in the daily pages. I am thinking of using one contents page for Meetings too.
   
   • The contents page makes it easy for me to know how many books and movies (TV shows) I’ve read and watched. I believe this is good for other kind of hobbies too.
   • Titles with the little triangle are Movie (TV shows)
3.  LM Year Planner – for Summary of the days (Birthdays, Anniversaries, Achievements, Family outings, Remarkable events etc)
   
4. LM Weekly Planner – for summary of the days (break down in details)
   
   At first, I was just using it to break the planning down to details from monthly calendar. But after using this for a while, I found it very handy for searching too. It’s even more easier than search through the daily pages through Side Index bar.
